One part of the International Audio Laboratories Erlangen belongs to the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS. Specifically, it is part of the Audio and Multimedia Department, the home of world famous audio codecs such as mp3 and AAC.
More than 40 internationally renowned scientists conduct cutting edge research in the AudioLabs department at Fraunhofer IIS.
